The JLPGA PowerBook 170
In 1991, Apple made just 500 examples of a very special PowerBook.

Introducing the 2024 Apple History Calendar
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.Год назад
Back the project on Kickstarter! www.kickstarter.com/projects/ismh/2024-apple-history-wall-calendar For the last two years, I’ve successfully created beautiful wall calendars focusing on parts of Apple’s business. For 2022 I did hardware, and for 2023, software. The 2024 Apple history calendar will complete the trilogy, focusing on Apple’s retail and services efforts. These dates cover everythi...
My New Kickstarter! The 2023 Apple History Calendar
Просмотров 3,4 тыс.2 года назад
I am back this year with a new Kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com/projects/ismh/2023-apple-history-calendar/ This year, I have created a new version of my Apple History wall calendar. It features my own product photography of Apple products, with each month highlighting some of Apple’s software announcements over the years. Each calendar measures 20 inches by 13 inches (50.8 x 33.02 cm) when it’s...
The Complete History of the eMac G4
Просмотров 7 тыс.2 года назад
In 2002, Apple launched an education-only Mac named the eMac G4. It looked like a beefed up iMac G3, and it proved popular enough to go on sale to the general public. A Tour of the Weirdest iPod nano (6th-generation)
Просмотров 15 тыс.2 года назад
Some of the iPod nano models were great. The 6th-gen model, with its tiny touchscreen, lack of video playback and weird design was the most unusual. remember my 12" powerbook fondly, it was the first mac i owned after switching from windows
I own a 13 inch MacBook Air right now a 2017 model
Their back now
Me when 10.6 came out: dudududu
Hopefully "Journal" will also develop into something useful, since it can't synch with anything either, to the point that I can't use it, as much as I'd like to.
Marilyn Manson used a lot of these voices on his Antichrist Superstar album. "When all of your wishes are granted, many of your dreams will be destroyed." 🤘😜🤘
I bought the black one, then broke the screen, so I used my mom’s upgrade the next April and got the white one.
My father's eMac still runs. It is slow in anything OSX, but it's one of the last Macs to run Mac OS9, and that is fast.
you mean the emac? it only has one name.
I don’t have internet on my I phone so getting this I pod 6 generation is good for me because of the radio where I can listen to music without data
I sure like being inside this fancy computer.
My first laptop was a PowerBook 520 and it is still the absolute best computer I’ve ever owned. The physical design was great, the dual batteries were useful, and the 040 chip was plenty powerful for the time. I deeply regret recycling it 20 years ago. The 5300 is a different story completely. I’m baffled how they are even even mentioned in the same conversation. They don’t even look anything like, other than the colour.
Hey buddy! I saw that! 0:44
Is there any scent that actually smells like a new Mac? I've been checking for years on end.
Did you know that the ipod touch just got discontinued 2 years ago?
How good it is that you don't have to go to Earth orbit to install these wheels… for 700$. Really, think different! BTW, do you want to sell just unusable „little legs” from your MacPro?
0:08 my best music
I still have a working one of these in my office.
Who cares
0:51 that’s incorrect. It could read the names of songs, artists, albums, and playlists. But I’m not seeing anywhere that says you could actually speak the names of the music you want to hear to control it. You basically just press the button when the device’s voiceover lists the playlist you want to hear. Not sure how you thought that was a feature. If this is an informational video, that’s probably something that you wouldn’t want to get wrong.
Thank You for the help as I used ur video to ckarify my mistakes
I think you missed that one Welcome Intro of a Developer Preview 3 of Panther. It used the song "Ocean Air". Unfortunately, there is no high quality version that is uploaded here, so you might have to see it for yourself.
I always wanted a black MacBook in college. So I got excited when they released the space black MacBook Pro.
The pitches are different, your wrong
has anyone found out where the music is from in this video?
Comment on the reply screen
One feature I'd like to have in apple notes is a web clipper.
alright help me out here i was reading an article about the gen 3 ipod shuffle and it mentioned a voice called samantha i have not been able to find anything at all about samantha and i have no idea what that means for her or me tbh but im weirdly invested
His first car after moving to California to work for Apple was an Orange convertible Saab.
macOS stopped feeling as special when they removed the welcome video, and then the startup chime. One of those is back though...
Fantastic Video Stephen. Thank you for posting!
This was one of the best and most unique parts of buying/owning a Mac in the 2000's. So sad to see Apple has lost its way in sooo many ways over the years, not keeping these cool intro videos is one of the best-worst examples!!
Ro
Apparently there was a touchscreen version at one point
I want one in tangerine 🍊 but i only found the 333mhz version
If this had bluetooth it qould have been perfect, love it nevertheless, to this day I use one to go running, I clip it on my pants and I don’t even notice I have it on me, for me extremely convinient
Still have mines the iPod Shuffle, it would nice if they have a fade in tracks mix software like a DJ Mix.
It looks as though you can't file/nest smart folders in ordinary folders?
Very nice video thank you I thought I would’ve needed to purchase an older Mac to sync to my 2nd generation iPod (2002)(uses fw400) but you’ve pointed me in the right direction going to order all cables and see if it works in 2024 I will update 😀
How do you adjust sound balance?
please can you tell me how to transfer all the music from my 2019 macbook pro onto my ipod classic 6th generation. i have apple music pro. I tried to install itunes but it made no differeence. it says there are no data on the ipod but if i try transferr a song through, the finder says that no matter what song, it says it's already on there. however when i want to listen to the ipod, it says there is no music on there at 79 out of 80 GB capacity left. HELP ME
Steve Jobs hated this thing, but then in 2004 said "Let's make a flat computer again, people can actually afford it now." So it was the modern iMac before even the egg-shaped iMac was a thing. It's far more fun to look at than my iMac M3, but by simply connecting a modern "satellite speakers with a subwoofer on the floor" to a modern iMac, you basically have a modernized TAM. Honestly though, the integrated power supply/subwoofer with be the easiest way to get TAM style sound on an iMac.
So this is the one iMac that doesn't follow the "monitor without a computer" aesthetic that the iMac was known for since the computer internals were clearly in that conspicuously large dome that the monitor sits on.
I have not been able to print directly from my AlphaSmart using the printer cable. The AlphaSmart recognizes the printer and sends data, but the printer does not respond by printing. I have read that others have also not been able to print directly via cable from their Alphasmart. This is not really a problem because I can send data to computer and then print from there. Have you had better luck? What printer are you using? Regarding the iPad and distractions, they can easily be eliminated by disconnecting the WiFi during your writing period.
Does anyone here remember a non-click wheel iPod?
The number 1 this this established was flat, all-in-one computers. Yet they killed this idea and didn't bring it back until the iMac G5.
Who else remembers these welcome intros
Me
This is just proven right with the Apple Watch Ultra and Vision Pro, both prominently featuring orange… not to mention the orange buttons of the 3rd gen iPod classic and the orange 1st gen iPod shuffle sport case. Orange rules!
It's the 1980s United Colors of Benetton edition PowerBook 😁
It is still owned by an acquaintance. In Japan, it was commonly known as "Benetton color.
